Dairy Free Pumpkin Chai Bubble Tea

Ingredients for Bubble Tea:

  • ¼ cup black tea boba tapioca pearls
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 teaspoons loose spicy chai tea brewed in 12 oz of water, cooled
  • Optional, shot of espresso or cold brew coffee
  • ice

Ingredients for the dairy free pumpkin spice creamer:

  • ⅔ cup your favorite dairy free milk
  • 1½ tablespoons pumpkin puree (NOT pumpkin pie mix)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar (or 1½ tablespoons brown sugar)
  • ¾ teaspoons Roselle Pumpkin Spice Extract


  1. Put a pan with several inches of water in it on the stove and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add the black tea boba tapioca pearls and simmer until the pearls are tender and chewy (5-10 minutes).
  3. Drain almost all of the water (leave just less than ¼ cup, just enough for the pearls to sit in, not covering them) and stir in the coconut or brown sugar.
  4. In a small pitcher or bowl mix together the milk, pumpkin puree, coconut sugar, and pumpkin spice extract.
  5. Divide the tapioca boba pearls in their syrup between 2 glasses.
  6. Divide the cooled spicy chai tea between the glasses, coffee if using, and top with ice.
  7. Pour in the pumpkin spice creamer according to your preferences.
  8. Stir, and enjoy.

Prep Time:  20 minutes

Cook Time:  10 minutes
