Copycat Starbuck’s Caramel Macchiato


  • 16 oz. reduced fat or whole milk
  • 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 oz. espresso or 4 oz. strong regular coffee
  • caramel sauce to drizzle


  1. Prepare the espresso using a macchinetta or espresso machine. (You may use a very strong regular coffee, but you’ll need to double the amount: use 4 oz instead of 2).
  2. Bring milk and sugar to a simmer in a small saucepan, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Add the vanilla extract and stir again.
  3. Pour the milk into your mug and, with a help of a whisk, froth the milk until foam forms.
  4. Pour espresso on top of the milk and drizzle with caramel sauce.

Prep Time:  5 minutes

Cook Time:  5 minutes

Yields:  1 serving
