Coffee Punch #2

  • 2 quarts strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
  • whipped cream  (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine coffee, milk, sugar and vanilla and stir well.
  2. Pour into a pitcher with lid or cleaned out milk jug and place in refrigerator.
  3. Chill thoroughly.
  4. Place softened ice cream in punch bowl.
  5. Pour coffee mixture over ice cream; stir gently.
  6. Top with dollops of whipped cream.

Yields:  1-1/4 gallons, serves 30
