Viennexican Coffee

1 cup hot brewed coffee
3 tablespoons whole milk
1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg


  1. Stir coffee, milk, brown sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, orange extract, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg together in a large mug until smooth.
  2. Put in the dollop of whipping cream.
  3. Serve.

Cook’s Note:

  • You can substitute molasses to taste for the brown sugar.
  • If this recipe seems too rich, feel free to substitute skim milk for both the milk and the cream. Alternative milks (rice, almond) should yield a creaminess that is equally enjoyable.
